The Feast of the Unleavened Bread of Christ - next week!

This coming week we are celebrating the Lord's Passover, Crucifixion and Resurrection.

Why do we celebrate now? Jesus, as the Promised Messiah of the Old Testament, kept the Biblical Festivals. In fact, Jesus is the fulfilment of the Passover lamb. That's why when John the Baptist saw Jesus from afar, he was able to say,

“Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!" - John 1:29

Therefore, our church keeps the original timing of the Lord's Supper and Passover, according to the calendar given to Moses and the Prophets, who pointed the way to Christ. It was with Christ in mind that they wrote the Law, the calendar, the writings and the prophecies.

The Apostle Peter indicated this when he wrote,

"Concerning this salvation, the prophets who prophesied about the grace that was to be yours searched and inquired carefully, inquiring what person or time the Spirit of Christ in them was indicating when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the subsequent glories."
- 1 Peter 1:10-11

One of the wonderful things about the season we celebrate is that we remember the Lord's Passover, Crucifixion and Resurrection repeatedly through a number of services that point to the new life in Christ.

We celebrate the Lord's Supper with our members, but anyone can join us for the First Day of Unleavened Bread, celebrating the Lord's Sacrifice on April 23. Let us know if you'd like to attend.
